| Selecting
a Disc Jockey that is best suited for
your event is not as easy as it would
seem. If all it took to be a great
DJ was to know how to play recorded
music, then anyone could be a great
DJ. Unfortunately there is more to
musically hosting an
event than meets the viewer’s eye.
Some people will phone into our
business line and be concerned
strictly with price. While pricing is
an important component with respect to
the budget of any function, being
concerned only with price would
suggest that any given DJ service is
the same as any other DJ service. This
could not be more inaccurate as there
are other points to consider. Below
are some suggested questions and
important topics of discussion that
should be addressed when interviewing
a DJ service to musically entertain
your guests; as well as our answers to
those specific questions.
How Much Experience Do You Have?
We have over 18 years of musical
DJ experience.
Do You Use Professional
Equipment?
Absolutely! Our sound systems are
comprised of the highest quality
components which are professionally
mounted in an aesthetical manner. Our
music library contains only legally
purchased music in digital format…no
illegal MP3’s. Equipment buffs can
visit our equipment page.
Do You Bring Backup Equipment?
Yes. Even high quality equipment
can fail. Having backup equipment
provides the security needed to insure
the success of your event should the
unlikely occur.
Are you insured?
Yes, we have a certificate of
liability that is valid in all 50
states.
How much time prior to my event
will you arrive?
We reserve a minimum of 60 minutes
prior to your event for setup and
sound check.
What is your attire at my event?
Tuxedo attire is worn at weddings.
Suit attire is worn at formal
corporate events and parties.
Dress slacks with a company logo shirt
may be worn at informal parties and
dances.
Will you take song requests at
my event?
Absolutely! By design, our focus is to
assist in musically entertaining you
and your guests. Requests are
encouraged periodically throughout
your event. Exclusions are made only
with respect to songs that contain
explicit lyrics or songs that are
expressly on the client’s "do
not play" list.
Do you play any types of games
at the event?
If you would like personal props at
your event (i.e. lighted necklaces,
bracelets, leis, etc…) we will be
happy to incorporate that into your package.
Any special requests should be
addressed to us during your consultation.
**Please note that due to insurance
liability constraints, we are excluded
from participation in any form of
"musical chairs" as well as
the "Limbo Rock".
We’re getting married at our
reception facility. Can you provide
music for our ceremony in another
area of our venue’s grounds?
Yes, we do offer this service with a
nominal setup charge for the second
system.
Can you provide me with
references?
We are happy to provide references
upon request.
Do you offer any type of
guarantee?
Yes. Our money back guarantee is
listed on our pricing menu page.
What is required for me to hold
a date for my event?
Available dates will be reserved only
with a signed contract and receipt of
the standard $200.00 nonrefundable
deposit for all events. Confirmed
bookings are contingent upon the
receipt of good funds.
How may I pay for my event?
We currently accept Mastercard, Visa,
Discover, cash, and
checks. Outstanding balances on all
bookings are due in full 14 days prior
to your event. In special
circumstances where your balance will
be paid on the day of your event,
payment by certified funds is
required.
What happens to any funds paid
if my event is cancelled?
While all deposits are
nonrefundable, we will apply any paid
balance toward a future event as long
as the new event falls within 12
months of the original date booked.
Please note that any rebooked dates
are subject to availability and
applicable pricing.
What if I wish to extend my
event beyond the scheduled time?
Overtime at your event is possible and
is based on the availability of your
event venue as well as our
availability with respect to other
scheduled events. If your event is
scheduled for the daytime, you may
want to inquire as to whether there
are other scheduled events after yours
so as to avoid any scheduling
conflicts. Overtime fees are also
listed on our pricing menu page.
Will I be asked to be a
reference after my event?
Within a few weeks after your
event we will send a brief
questionnaire about your experience
with us. This questionnaire
enables us to get valued feedback
about our business so that we can
continue to provide the highest
quality in entertainment. This
questionnaire also gives you the
choice to opt in or out of being a
bona fide reference. Your personal
information will never appear on a
testimonial page and we will never
give out any contact information that
is not expressly authorized by you. |
